Whole Foods Market – Stamford

CM&B transformed a 44,648-SF former Lord & Taylor department store in Stamford, CT into a new Whole Foods Market—marking the brand’s 100th Northeast location. The full interior conversion reconfigured a large-format retail floor plate into a boutique-style grocery environment with curated departments and high-intensity prepared foods operations.

Leveraging the existing building shell, the project introduced new MEP, refrigeration, and life safety systems to support grocery, meat, seafood, bakery, and prepared foods programs not previously accommodated within the space. Completed ahead of schedule, the renovation reflects CM&B’s expertise in adaptive reuse and complex grocery fit-outs within shared retail environments.
