Avon Village Center

CM&B led the ground-up construction of Avon Village Center, a 33-acre mixed-use development featuring five New England–style buildings totaling more than 125,000 SF. Anchored by a 44,760-SF Whole Foods Market, the project included extensive site work, new infrastructure, and roadway construction to establish a vibrant new retail destination for the town of Avon.

To make way for the new Village Center, CM&B temporarily rerouted an entire town road—keeping traffic moving while building a new community hub from the ground up.

Construction Complexities

Built five ground-up New England–style buildings totaling 125,000 SF across a 33-acre site.

 

Constructed a 44,760-SF Whole Foods Market as the development’s anchor tenant.

 

Executed complex site work including infrastructure, utilities, and new internal roadways.

 

Installed three underground water retention systems, with the largest covering 75% of the Whole Foods parking area.

 

Relocated a main public road (Climax Road) and built a temporary traffic network to maintain access during construction.

 

Collaborated closely with town and state agencies to coordinate wetlands, utilities, and conservation.
