Lakeway Commons transformed 23 acres of one of Central Massachusetts’ most recognizable retail properties into a 375,000-SF mixed-use lifestyle destination. Built on the former Spag’s and Building 19 site, the project required large-scale demolition, comprehensive utility relocation, and significant infrastructure upgrades to support new retail, dining, and future residential uses.

Anchored by a 50,000-SF Whole Foods Market, the village-style development replaces a long-standing landmark with a modern, pedestrian-oriented center designed for long-term community growth. The work balanced respect for a deeply rooted retail legacy with the execution of a complex, multi-building redevelopment.
