Shake Shack Innovation Kitchen + Flagship Restaurant

Shake Shack’s West Village flagship isn’t just another burger joint—it’s home to the brand’s first-ever Innovation Kitchen, a culinary playground tucked beneath the bustling restaurant. This underground test kitchen empowers Shake Shack’s culinary team to dream big, experiment often, and serve up fresh ideas directly to guests upstairs. CM&B transformed two existing spaces—street level and cellar—into a state-of-the-art restaurant and menu R&D hub, blending fine dining roots with a neighborhood vibe right at the corner of Varick and Clarkson.
