CM&B completed construction of Cactus Club Cafe’s first U.S. location, bringing the acclaimed Canadian restaurant group to Boston’s Back Bay. Located at 500 Boylston Street, the project transformed a prominent urban space into a vibrant, upscale dining destination featuring refined interiors, a premium kitchen, and a four-season patio. Delivered in close collaboration with an experienced hospitality team, the project marks a major milestone in Cactus Club Cafe’s U.S. expansion.

Construction Complexities

Full interior restaurant fit-out featuring elevated finishes, extensive architectural millwork, and custom lighting throughout

Premium commercial kitchen build-out with stainless-steel and full-height ceramic tile finishes on all walls, exceeding typical back-of-house standards

Installation of approximately 250 LF of refrigeration lines routed through an active lower-level parking garage to the building loading dock

Selective demolition and reconfiguration within the parking garage to install new grease traps while maintaining safety and operations

Structural reinforcement to support a new four-season exterior patio, delivered within a dense urban environment

Coordination and installation of seven commissioned artworks by Boston-based artist Giovanni DeCunto, including a large-scale ceiling mural with integrated security systems
