CM&B partnered with Village Volvo on the renovation of an existing 1924 building that was the original home of International Harvester Farm Equipment.
Scope of Work:
- Complete demolition of the ground level connector building between 61 N Beacon Street and 65 N Beacon Street
- Renovation of all 5 floors, including hazardous materials abatement of all floors and roof
- Amenities include a basement level drive-in service center, two-story showroom, lounge area, cafe and offices
- Top two levels are ready for future tenant space
- New utility services brought in from the street, new site drainage systems and retaining wall as well as a new freight and passenger elevators
- Removal of old passenger elevator exterior hoist way
- Project received the 2020 Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts and the 2019 Preservation Achievement Award from Boston Preservation Alliance
